ETA: Silly me! So, for anyone thinking they accidentally deleted a comment they thought they replied to: The comment and my reply landed under the actual image itself. I had found it in my 'Message Center' and thought that's where it was permanently. Aha. Now I know. Like I said, silly me!
Additionally, for anyone overwhelmed with the Message system here, I have found using the Folders feature to be helpful.
